Happy New Year from all of us at Doug Booth Family Angus. We hope that 2012 brings a year
of joy and success for you in all that you do.
Let this letter be your personal invitation to the Annual Doug Booth Family Angus Performance
Bull Sale on February 21, 2012 at Torrington Livestock Market in Torrington, WY. We are excited to
offer this set of bulls because we believe that this group is as good as ever, but deeper than ever. We’re
certain that this is the deepest, strongest, complete, and uniform set of bulls we have ever offered.
Study their EPD’s and you will see that they are very complete from birth to yearling, maternally and
phenotype that these bulls possess. As you can see by the EPD’s, we don’t sacrifice any area as these
bulls excel in most. As always, we have selected and used sires that possess economically important
traits for the most criticial commercial cattleperson.
As I sit down to write this letter, what an exciting time to be in the cattle business. We are seeing
the highest priced calves, yearlings, breds, and fats that have ever been seen, and the future looks to be
even higher yet.
You are invited to see the bulls in person. Words and pictures only tell part of the story. The
bulls will speak for themselves. Feel free to stop by and view these bulls at the ranch if you are in the
area. We hope to see you on February 21, and set your cowherd up for the future with bulls from our
sale. Some of you known what kind of bulls we raise, but for you that don’t; you should come find out
for yourself. As one prominent Angus person said, “Buyers get more value in our sale than any sale
around.” I think that speaks for itself.
As we get prepared for this sale we have DNA tested a cross section of bulls to analyze their
genetic make-up using the Pfizer 50K test. This test has shown that our bulls are as powerful and
explosive as we thought they were from their EPD’s. By using this test, it has enchanced their EPD’s to
more accurately measure their genetic make-up.
